Note: You can use the rpm -ql libstdc++ to see where the files are that this package installed. Please note that other development tools will be installed with this method.

Close the details and then hit Update to install the Development tools package, which contains the libstdc++.so.6 shared libraries. Under details, none of the Extra Packages are needed, just the standard packages. Please locate the RPM either on the installable media (CDs or DVDs), network location, or on the Red Hat network and then install it using the rpm command.Īnother way to install this package is to go to the menu Applications > System Settings > Add/Remove Applications > Development Tools under the Development. The RPM that Blue Coat tested was named "libstc++-3.4.6-3.1", but the latest one (as of this writing) appears to be "libstc++-3.4.6-8". Version 6 of the standard c++ libraries will need to be installed if not already installed on the system. If RHEL ES 4 is the base OS, then check for the existence of version 6 of the stdc++ libraries (libstdc++.so.6). Make sure that Reporter is installed on RHEL ES 4, 32-bit or 64-bit.
